STRAIGHT POWER CORDS

Product Description

Power cord kits for dinghy towing

These power cords contain either 6 wires or 4 wires to conduct lighting signals between the RV and the towed vehicle. Although 4 wire kits are adequate for the majority of towed vehicles, Roadmaster recommends using a 6 wire kit as it provides additional circuits for a charge line or supplemental braking system monitor wire. A 6 wire cord is also required for wiring a separate brake and turn signal motorhome to a separate brake and turn signal towed vehicle.

Straight power cords are designed to route through the cable channels of Roadmaster tow bars. This prevents dragging and provides a clean professional appearance. Roadmaster also offers coiled power cords.

Roadmaster's high-quality power cords are water, oil and chemical resistant. The electrical plugs are injected with silicone sealant to prevent wires from fraying or shorting and to seal out moisture that can cause corrosion.

• Straight power cords route through the tow bar's cable channel for a clean appearance
• Kits with 6-wire plugs utilize four 16 gauge wires and two 14 gauge wires
• Kits with 4-wire plugs utilize four 16 gauge wires
• 7-way plugs are pre-wired to industry standard wiring code
• Easy to install — includes wiring instructions

The 650814-12 and 650816-12 power cords are 90" long. This is 12" longer than standard and is often necessary when using a drop hitch, hitch extension, or any other accessory that increases the distance between the RV and towed car.
